Sandy Springs Home is the Dose of "Different" We've Been Searching For!
When it comes to putting together an attractive home, it can be difficult to color outside the lines and still have the finished picture come out in a way that looks awesome and performs on a high level.
Trust me when I say we've seen a lot of disasters.
With this 2 acre estate featuring an incredible 8,300+ sqft, 6 bed, 10 bath home in Sandy Springs, Georgia, we think that the minds behind this home accomplished the feat of coloring outside the lines with incredible results.
Now, let's check out some of our favorite features from the home listed by Katie Reynolds and Laura Peters of Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby's International.
A One-of-a-Kind Layout
Instead of a traditional layout, this estate features what the listing agent likes to call a "party deck" that is accessed through a variety of glass doors. On the deck we find a bar and grill area alongside the views that simply can't be missed. This in and of itself looks like a spectacular entertaining space.
As we continue through the outdoor spread, though, we find that the space to enjoy is far from over. The next thing that we find in the flow of the home is an incredible infinity edge pool, accessible from both the main level and the terrace level.
In the same area, we also find a cabana with an additional fireplace and outdoor full bathroom/changing room as to not have guests drag water through the home.
If one were to continue walking through the property, they would also find a detatched three-car garage that also features 900 square feet of unfinished space - the perfect canvas to transform into an in-law suite or maybe even an office of some sort.
All-in-all, when viewing this layout, it's not only functional but also incredibly pleasing to the senses to look at as the home is perched beautifully on a hillside location.
It's all in the Details
When we were captured by the exterior beauty of the home, it was almost easy to forget that there's also an incredible interior to tour as well, clad with a host of details that you don't want to miss.
Simply entering the home feels majestic as the pair of custom steel double doors give us a luxurious feel right from the start.
Once inside, the listing agent describes the home as an "entertainer's delight," a statement that becomes more and more accurate with the more that we see.
As the listing goes, we're treated to "an open floor plan featuring double volume light filled living space with wood burning fireplace, barrel vaulted wood plank ceiling and wet bar."
This plan includes the likes of 12-foot ceiling heigh throughout the main level and 10-foot ceilings upstairs, including the terrace.
The primary suite on the main level is somewhere you'll want to spend some time.
Inside, we find a sitting area with gas fireplace,
gorgeous white marble bathroom with steam shower,
and oversized custom closet featuring its own island and washer/dryer.
Another feature that's subtle but is a really nice touch is the addition of automated window shades
We're Suckers for a Nice Kitchen
Of course, the proper size of a kitchen is going to be a topic that's a bit subjective. Some may want a bigger space and some may feel as if a huge kitchen can be overwhelming. This home seems to find a happy medium, providing plenty of space for function without going too far overboard.
Some of the noteworthy features we find in this kitchen are a marble waterfall island, dual dishwashers, professional gas range, 60" built in fridge/freezer,
walk in pantry, and separate caterer's closet.
We can't just brisk past the fact that the oversized island looks like a great place for both food prep and enjoying a meal!
The Sprinkles on the Sundae
Upstairs, the home is completed with four large en suite bedrooms each with multiple closets for ample storage, a full laundry room, and bonus space.
When we step out to the terrace, we find a family room with gas fireplace, game room, and a glass-front wine cellar that is calling my name.
Oh yeah, don't forget the gym featuring a full suite of professional quality equipment, juice bar, additional washer/dryer, sauna, and two steam rooms. You won't need a gym membership where we're going.
Before we let you go to check in with the video tour below, the last feature that we have to mention is an integrated speaker system with its own music server - a must-have for any high end home!
Oh yeah and if you're interested in the home currently listed just short of $5,000,000, the listing can be found here.
