However, when we close our eyes and picture a mountain escape, it's nothing like what we see in the images pictured. Instead, the creator behind this Eastern Pennsylvania escape decided to go in an entirely different direction and it's far too interesting to ignore.

Normally, the design of such homes tries its hardest to incorporate natural tones. With different woods and earth colored textures, these sorts of homes attempt to be one with the environment. 

With the "BLVCK" cabin, though, the idea is to join man or woman with nature through the use of minimalism.

As the designer describes the space, "The cabin has been uniquely designed to accentuate minimalism and black ambiance featuring unique elements."

Some of these elements include things like black stainless appliances throughout the kitchen, a black quartz sink with a high end flat black faucet, and even black toiletries. For example, people who book this stay will have access to black toilet paper, black Q-tips, and even black toothpaste available for guests to use.

While it seems like minimalism is of the essence, that isn't to say that high end amenities evade the home. Instead, it seems as if a lot of thought was invested in the designer finishes and appliances throughout. 

The cabin is situated near Bushkill Falls and surrounded by a creek that allows for relaxing recreational activities like kayaking and fishing.

On the other hand, perhaps a day of exploring or skiing at nearby Shawnee Mountain is in order. The area is known for its variety of natural attractions.

Once done with all of the day's activities, guests will be able to sit around a beautiful fireplace that is a part of an open floor plan. Perhaps, a night outside might also be a good idea as a custom fire pit, keeping up with the black theme, is also at our fingertips.
