Carolina Home Clad in Black Has an Unorthodox "Pop!"

Every once in a while, we just feel like we need to mix things up and do something a little bit different. For the owners of this Mooresville, North Carolina home, that's precisely what they decided to do.

Not only is this 4 bed, 5 bath 3,874 sqft property in about the best location it could possibly be in (with .81 acres). The structure itself is also something that really made us stop and stare for a bit as it fuses together creativity and a bold style that pay off big time.

From a first approach, the modern architecture has a way of really popping from the calm Carolina setting. As the house is coated in black which is rather unorthodox, we can't help but feel like this is a bold decision that really pays dividends in the style department.

One of the first features that we can't help but notice about the home as it has a pretty awesome outdoor space to spend some time. This resort style pool/spa features a tanning ledge and covered outdoor kitchen that are bound to be a popular gathering spot.

Another piece of the puzzle that is going to draw lots of eyes is the grandfathered boathouse and covered dock which are rare for the area. No need for marina slip fees when you have your very own personal marina right in your own back yard.

Upon entering the home, we can't help but notice that there is a lot of attention to detail that really makes the property pop. For example, shiplap ceilings and matte concrete floors become a true focal point that are accompanied by plenty of windows that make sure there's no shortage of natural lighting.

These features carry over to the kitchen where we also find the likes of quartz countertops. This area also features an AGA stove along with dining with a view.

Another area where residents will be able to enjoy incredible views are the main level coastal modern primary suite.

As we head upstairs, we check out lots of more space. Our attention was drawn to a spacious bonus room with the door and wet bar.

In addition, we find a home office that, like most of the other rooms in the house, has quite a view. We're not sure if this will be for better or for worse while trying to accomplish something and thinking of all the fun that could be had on the water that's not very far away.

The upper level also features a covered terrace with panoramic views, another area that is certain to always draw a crowd for those gorgeous Carolina sunsets.
